Description
Job Brief:
Responsible for designing, planning and optimizing IP Core, and Transport Network, to ensure providing the required robust, flexible and optimal interconnectivity among Umniah network components. Also, responsible for achieving and improving the services KPIs and SLAs using the latest technologies, as well as provide the needed technical support and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and meet the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the IP Core and Transport planning teams to ensure maintaining optimal transport solutions across network entities.
Design, plan and setup/expand new/existing network including ensuring that design conforms to SLA and ease of operation and maintenance.
Design, plan, implement and configure various network element including Core, IP and Transport elements.
Manage network capacity to ensure that the network meets marketing needs for Umniah customers and to maintain network performance up to the required standards within the available resources.
Manage the lifecycle of the network and refresh equipment at appropriate times to prevent network failure and risks
Upgrade and enhance the network performance monitoring and network management systems
Evaluate new products and technologies for new services rollout.
Keep abreast of new technologies and networking gear to improve the network and services offered to customers
Work with Operations team on the commissioning of network.
Review the existing work procedures regularly within the area of responsibility to enhance the productivity level
Review Network KPIs and Network design to ensure it supports improving the KPIs and Quality.
Set standards and guidelines for transport network expansions and coordinate closely with operations and field teams during projects deployment
Build the annual budget requirements and resources for the network and ensure smart spending in alignment with the Engineering and company targets

Manage subordinates’ learning & development requirements and ensure that it is successfully delivered and provide related feedback to the management
Assign roles and work load distribution, set team objectives and conduct regular informal one-on-one meetings to deliver personalized feedback and provide support to attain goals
Conduct formal performance evaluation process for the subordinates in order to optimize workplace productivity
Participate in the recruitment, selection, evaluation process of new employees.
Provide guidance and delegate responsibilities to subordinates to facilitate performing different tasks to support succession planning process
Manage subordinates' administrational requirements
Assure that all subordinates are following Umniah’s policies and procedures and highlight any violation for the code of conduct
Manage economic, efficient and effective budget plan and control in alignment with the department and Umniah’s strategy
Ensure that employees are engaged and motivated through creating a respectful and trusting relationship with them and communicating Umniah values
Demonstrate flexibility in management by accommodating individual employee needs such as adjustable schedules or remote work options
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications Engineering.
Level of Experience:
Advanced Experience in a related field.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
Excellent knowledge of the telecommunication industry ,3/4/5G, Analytics within Network Space, OSS platforms/Tool, Virtualization and Automation. Excellent technical reporting skills
Excellent Knowledge of Mobile Operators Networks architecture including Data and Voice network.
Excellent Knowledge of Disaster Recovery, Resiliency Planning, and planning highly available solutions
Good Knowledge of Project Management: Project Planning Tracking, Issue Resolution, Resource Allocation and Budgeting, Project Reporting.
Good Knowledge of Service Management: Service activation tools and techniques, Service platforms installation and integration, Service platforms management (upgrade, scale, backup, maintain etc.)
Good Knowledge of Network Quality Management: Network quality assurance processes, procedures, Service quality assurance processes, procedures, Network quality standards, benchmarks, Service quality standards, and benchmarks.
Excellent Knowledge of Network Performance Management: Performance management tools, Network Performance optimization, Performance Management process, Service Performance Optimization
Excellent Knowledge of Network Fault Management: Fault management tools and systems, Fault analysis and correlation techniques, Disaster recovery and contingency planning
Good Knowledge of Network Security: Network security assessment, Network security assurance (policies, procedures)
Good Knowledge of Risk Management: Risk assessment techniques, Mitigation techniques, Risk probability and estimation.
Good Knowledge of Routing and switching protocols, utilities and standards
Good Knowledge of Security Solutions products and Standards
Good Knowledge of Trouble Ticketing: Trouble ticketing systems, Workflow techniques
Good Knowledge of Inventory Management: Network Inventory Systems and Integration, Maintaining Network Inventory systems
Good knowledge of resource allocation and budgeting
Excellent knowledge of Data, IP and Transport network design and planning.
Good Experience of Network Mobile, Packet Core Network, Cloud and security
Excellent Knowledge of 5G Network End to End.
Excellent knowledge of network planning and optimization, RFPs issuing and evaluating
Excellent command of English language both speaking and writing
Excellent technical reporting skills
Desirable:
Excellent knowledge of planning and system audit and methodologies
Good knowledge of project management fundamentals
Good Knowledge of IOT Network Design and Implementation.
Good Experience in 5G Network Design and Implementation.
Good knowledge of network costing and purchasing techniques
Good command of creating and interpreting drawings and specification
