ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role is part of BAT Jordan Operations team.
The role is responsible for ensuring Quality measurements are taken, analysed, trended, and reported so that accurate and relevant Quality data can be issued to Customers and Management. Also, for developing, implementing, and maintaining work instructions, test methods and calibration, as we as assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with production quality issues and solving daily production problems and supporting process and quality systems improvement programmes.
Reports to Quality and Product Improvement Executive
What You Will Be Accountable For
Implement and maintain a calibration programme for the QA lab equipment and calibrate all equipment daily before use and document appropriately
Make relevant adjustments to instrument if calibration is found incorrect and report any faults found on instruments immediately and in the correct manner
Ensure the equipment is clean after every use
Sample materials and products from the production processes in line with relevant protocols
Collect routine samples of products in line with minimum requirement for FPI and relevant protocols and ensure all sampling is done promptly and timely
Plan, coordinate and promote all Incoming Materials Inspection Activities
Ensure compliance with British American Tobacco EHS guidelines for all QA activities
Interact with other departments in relation to equipment repairs / work orders and quality feedback & training
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
Do you have proven experience with cigarette manufacturing?
Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge
Tertiary qualification in Science Field with Chemistry, Mathematics or Statistics as a major study area
Advanced specialty education and training, and / or on-the-job experience
High knowledge of inspection, test methods of cigarette manufacturing and technology
Awareness and understanding of the latest developments in Production Quality Management techniques
Knowledge of analysis, problem solving and techniques (including SPC, brainstorming, fishbone diagrams)
Inter-personal skills, communication, persuasiveness, assertiveness, and negotiation throughout the organization
